Job purpose

The Admissions Lead is a member of the central Admissions leadership team and works collaboratively with the Deputy Head of Admissions (Undergraduate), Deputy Head of Admissions (Postgraduate) and Deputy Head of Admissions (Operations), to support the Director of Admissions in meeting Queen Mary’s strategic objectives for student recruitment to all modes and level of study from undergraduate foundation to doctoral study. The postholder has lead responsibility for delivering an effective admissions service,



including the development and implementation of policy, procedure and processes that support admissions across the university. In common with all members of the Admissions management team, they play a key role in effective management of change and continuous improvement projects, ensuring that systems and resources are aligned to deliver Queen Mary’s ambitious strategy for student recruitment.

Duties and responsibilities

To work collaboratively with the Admissions leadership and management team based in London to ensure that Admissions resources are deployed flexibly to deliver high quality, effective and effective admissions services for all levels and modes of study from undergraduate foundation to doctoral study.
To lead and manage the Admissions team based in one of the University’s Regional Offices, taking responsibility for appraisal, development, training and any disciplinary matters that arise.
