Company Description Digistall – Your Gateway to E-Commerce focuses on transferring technology to rural India by enabling small businesses and entrepreneurs to participate in the digital economy. The organization works to bridge the urban–rural digital gap through accessible e-commerce tools, training, and support.
By promoting technology adoption in underserved areas, Digistall aims to improve livelihoods, market access, and economic inclusion. Team members contribute to impactful projects that help rural communities connect with wider markets and modern commerce.
Role Description The Policy Analyst intern will support research and development of policies that advance Digistall’s mission of technology transfer and e-commerce enablement in rural India. Day-to-day tasks include conducting policy research on digital inclusion, rural development, and e-commerce regulations; analyzing data and reports; and drafting policy briefs, summaries, and recommendations.
The intern will collaborate with team members to review existing programs, identify gaps, and propose policy improvements that align with organizational goals. This is a remote internship role, requiring regular virtual meetings,
documentation of findings, and clear communication of insights to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Policy Development and Policy Research to design, review, and recommend policies that support rural technology adoption.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to interpret data, evaluate impacts, and prepare evidence-based recommendations.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present findings clearly in written reports, presentations, and discussions with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with public policy, economics, rural development, or digital transformation is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote workplace, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, online collaboration platforms).
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Public Policy, Economics, Development Studies, Political Science, or a related field is preferred.
