About the Role

EDWARTENS is looking for a technically strong and confident PLC Trainer / Automation Engineer to deliver practical training in industrial automation and support hands-on engineering projects.

The candidate must have valuable knowledge of Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC systems, electrical engineering, automation and mechatronics. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential, as the role involves teaching students and working professionals.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver practical training in Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC programming.
- Teach industrial automation, electrical systems, control panels, sensors, motors and mechatronics.
- Conduct practical sessions using PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems and simulation software.
- Prepare training materials, presentations, assignments and practical exercises.
- Explain technical concepts clearly to beginners and experienced learners.
- Support students during projects, troubleshooting and practical assessments.
- Maintain PLC training equipment, electrical panels and laboratory systems.
- Develop PLC programs, HMI screens and basic SCADA applications.
- Assist with industrial automation projects and technical demonstrations.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Keep course content updated with current industrial practices and technologies.




- Follow electrical safety procedures and maintain a safe training environment.

Mandatory Skills

- Strong knowledge of Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal.
- Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000 or RSLogix.
- Positive understanding of electrical systems and industrial control wiring.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation and mechatronics.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Knowledge of digital and analogue inputs and outputs.
- Understanding of sensors, relays, contactors, motors, VFDs and control panels.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.

Relevant Additional Skills

- Experience with Siemens S7-1200 or S7-1500 PLCs.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley CompactLogix or ControlLogix PLCs.
- Knowledge of HMI and SCADA development.
- Familiarity with WinCC, FactoryTalk View or Factory I/O.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Profibus, Modbus and Ethernet/IP.
- Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Knowledge of servo systems, robotics or motion control is an advantage.
- Experience in panel wiring,



commissioning or machine troubleshooting is preferred.
- Previous teaching, training or public-speaking experience is an advantage.

Candidate Requirements

- Diploma, BE, BTech or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Automation or a related engineering field.
- Freshers with robust practical knowledge may apply.
- Must be willing to work from the Electronic City office.
- Must be confident speaking and presenting in English.
- Must be comfortable delivering classroom and practical training sessions.
- Should be patient, professional and interested in developing learners.
