Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Plant Head to lead and manage the overall manufacturing operations of our Baddi facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring production targets are achieved, maintaining quality standards, optimizing costs, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Operations

- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Develop and execute production plans aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor plant performance and implement initiatives to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources.

Production & Planning
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to meet customer demand.
- Minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Drive capacity enhancement and process optimization initiatives.

Quality Management
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and customer specifications.
- Lead initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.
- Implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
- Maintain compliance with statutory, regulatory, and factory-related requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and promote a zero-incident culture.

Maintenance & Engineering
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Ensure high equipment availability and reliability.
- Drive automation and technology upgrades wherever feasible.

Cost Management
- Prepare and manage plant budgets.




- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.
- Monitor key operational costs including utilities, manpower, maintenance, and inventory.

Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and Engineering.
- Build a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Develop succession plans for key operational roles.

Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with corporate leadership, vendors, customers, and regulatory authorities.
- Present plant performance through periodic MIS and operational reviews.

Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or Production Engineering.
- MBA/PGDM in Operations Management will be an added advantage.
- 12–18 years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 5 years in a plant leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing medium to large manufacturing facilities.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and Operational Excellence practices.
- Hands-on experience in production planning, maintenance, quality systems, and supply chain coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of statutory compliance, factory operations, and EHS regulations.
