Responsibilities

Assisting CAD Technicians in technical analysis;
Analyse ground data and prepare base maps;
Prepare graphic representations of a parcel of land or a portion of road (plan, profile and section);
Annotate work to be done (barrier, border, pavement marking, etc.);
Preparation of a highway, roadway and detour path;
Plans and profiles, cross sections, typical sections and details
Temporary or permanent signage design;
Preparation of an installation slip;
Other duties as assigned.

Key Competencies / Skills

The successful candidate is likely to be having above 15 years’ of highway work experience with consultancy firm or developer, International experience or Global design centre are an asset.
Must have strong abilities to work with BIM compliant CAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, projectwise, ACC and Microsoft Office;
Knowledge of Dynamo, Navis work clash analysis, infraworks, concept station is an asset.
Ability to work on multiple projects at given time and mentor juniors and able to take up line management responsibilities




Understanding of Canadian standards and design practices are an asset

Qualifications

Diploma in Civil;
8-10 years’ working experience on infrastructure projects and detail design of highways and drainage.
Experience to work in/with other cultures.
English spoken and written
French spoken and written a plus

Desirable Skills

Qualified licencing within Canada is an asset;
Solid understanding of other road design requirements (e.g. drainage / hydraulic design, environmental design / mitigation measure, engineering surveys, geotechnical investigations and design);
Solid understanding of Ministry of Transportation, Canadian standards and design practices are an asset;
