We are looking for: Senior Power Systems Software Engineer
You’ll make an impact by:
Develop, implement, and perform complex technical assignments related to Electricity Energy Markets and Grid Simulation (steady state and dynamics) software applications.
Analyze, design, program, troubleshoot, recommend solutions, perform enhancements, provide technical support, and implement modifications associated with the power system applications.
The position requires effective use and modification to the solution techniques in power system planning, operations and/or modeling and knowledge of power system algorithms and optimization techniques.
Perform problem resolution including performing root cause analysis and interacting with customers and application engineers.
Provide support and knowledge transfer to customer engineering staff to apply changes to the real time applications.
Use your skills to move the world forward
Master’s degree, in Electrical Power Systems Engineering.
4 - 7 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
The following experience is highly desirable
Software application development experience in high level language preferably C/C++, SQL, PL/SQL, Perl and Python
Knowledge of git and CI/CD is a plus
Experience in working on Linux environments is a plus
2-4 years of Experience in either or a combination of the following functional areas:
Experience in modeling and solving Energy Market Clearing Optimization Problems
Experience in Transient Stability Analysis, Interconnection Project Studies
Experience in Network Application such as Power Flow Analysis, Security Analysis, State Estimator
