Role & responsibilities

- Dispense medicines against prescriptions and maintain accurate dispensing and narcotic registers.

- Manage the pharmacy store indenting, receipt, storage conditions, expiry monitoring and stock reconciliation.

- Assist the Medical Officer during OPD, injections, dressings and minor procedures.

- Provide first-aid and support emergency and casualty handling, including ambulance readiness and evacuation drills.

- Maintain Initial and Periodical Medical Examination (IME/PME) records of employees as required under the Mines Rules 1955.

- Support occupational health surveillance audiometry, spirometry, vision testing and dust-related health monitoring records.

- Maintain first-aid boxes across mine sections and train designated first-aiders.

- Ensure biomedical waste handling and disposal as per applicable rules.

Preferred candidate profile

- Valid State Pharmacy Council registration is mandatory.

- Prior experience in an industrial, mine or hospital dispensary preferred.

- Willingness to work in shifts and respond to site emergencies.

- Careful record-keeping and a calm approach under pressure.
