Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer / Performance Engineering Specialist with 7–10 years of experience to ensure the scalability, reliability, stability, and performance of enterprise applications across distributed systems and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and executing performance tests, analyzing application behavior under load, identifying system bottlenecks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize application performance.

The role requires hands-on experience with industry-leading performance testing and observability tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Dynatrace, Splunk, and Grafana, along with a solid understanding of cloud platforms, distributed architectures, APIs, and CI/CD integration. Experience in the Healthcare domain is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain performance test scripts using Apache JMeter and LoadRunner Professional/Enterprise.
- Develop performance testing strategies, workload models, test plans, and execution approaches for web applications, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Perform Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance (Soak), Volume, Scalability, and Capacity Testing.
- Analyze application performance across application, middleware, database, infrastructure, network, and cloud layers.
- Monitor and analyze system metrics, including CPU, memory, disk I/O, JVM, thread pools, database connections, and application performance.
- Leverage Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, and other APM tools to identify performance bottlenecks and conduct root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, infrastructure, SRE, and operations teams to resolve performance issues and improve application responsiveness.
- Participate in production incident investigations, critical issue resolution, and performance troubleshooting.
- Drive observability improvements through enhanced monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alert optimization.




- Validate performance of APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native applications.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines to support shift-left performance engineering practices.
- Conduct database performance analysis, query optimization validation, and transaction monitoring.
- Support capacity planning, benchmarking, production readiness assessments, and scalability evaluations.
- Prepare performance test reports, dashboards, trend analysis, and executive-level summaries.
- Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation and recommend preventive performance improvements.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews to identify performance and scalability risks early in the development lifecycle.
- Ensure enterprise applications meet defined performance, availability, and reliability objectives.

Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.
- Proven experience in enterprise-scale performance testing engagements.
- Strong experience testing distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud-based applications.
- Experience working with mission-critical enterprise applications.
- Healthcare industry experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Tier-0 or mission-critical enterprise applications.
- Experience working in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) environments.
- Experience with production performance monitoring and incident diagnostics.
- Familiarity with AIOps, observability platforms, and alert correlation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized workloads.
- Experience with healthcare applications, claims processing, member portals, provider systems, or healthcare data platforms.
- Experience implementing proactive performance engineering and reliability improvements.
- Relevant certifications in LoadRunner, Dynatrace, Azure, Cloud Platforms, or Performance Engineering are preferred.
