This role is a recent addition to the Enterprise Architecture team, created to drive the strategic governance, optimization, and evolution of Siemens Energy’s engineering software landscape, ensuring that Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), CAD, CAE, simulation, authoring, and other engineering applications deliver maximum business value while supporting engineering excellence and digital transformation objectives. The Engineering Software Portfolio Manager will assess current and future engineering requirements, optimize software investments, and establish governance frameworks that balance innovation, user productivity, standardization, and cost efficiency. Working closely with Engineering, Digitalization, Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, and software vendors, helping to create a future-ready engineering software ecosystem.. This role will focus on three core areas: comprehensive portfolio analysis to identify optimization opportunities, establishing robust governance and lifecycle management for all engineering software assets,



and managing key stakeholder and vendor relationships to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Given the focus on portfolio optimization and cost management, the ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert with extensive experience in software asset management and enterprise architecture. They will possess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, coupled with a proven ability to manage large-scale projects and influence stakeholders in a complex enterprise environment.
