Job Title: PCB Layout Design Engineer

Location: Pune (Hybrid)

Key Skills

BMW TechWorks India is looking for an experienced PCB Layout Design Engineer to design and develop high-quality PCB layouts for automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs), Zonal Controllers, Connectivity Modules, Electrification Systems, and other advanced automotive platforms.

Responsibilities

- Design multilayer PCB layouts (6+ layers) for automotive embedded hardware.
- Perform component placement, routing, and layout optimization.
- Develop high-speed, mixed-signal, and power electronics PCB layouts.
- Ensure Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), EMC/EMI, thermal, and manufacturability compliance.
- Work closely with hardware design teams during schematic reviews and PCB development.
- Support PCB stack-up definition, impedance-controlled routing, differential pair routing, and grounding strategies.
- Participate in design reviews,



hardware validation, and EMC testing.
- Develop PCB design guidelines, libraries, and review checklists.
- Mentor junior PCB layout engineers.

Required Skills

- 5 - 10 years of PCB Layout Design experience.
- Hands-on experience with Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro.
- Robust understanding of High-Speed PCB Design, SI/PI, EMC/EMI, DFM, DFA, and DFT.
- Experience with CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, SPI, I2C, and UART.
- Experience in automotive or embedded electronics products.

Preferred

- Automotive ECU development.
- ADAS, Connectivity, Body Controller, or Electrification domain.
- HyperLynx, Sigrity, or SIwave.
- ISO 26262 and ASPICE.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
