Role Description The Patient Mediator is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for facilitating clear, respectful communication between patients, healthcare providers, and relevant stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include listening to patient concerns, documenting issues, and helping resolve misunderstandings or conflicts related to care, procedures, and expectations.
The role involves coordinating with medical teams to clarify information, explaining processes and policies to patients and families, and ensuring all parties understand treatment plans and rights.

Mediator will also track recurring issues, provide feedback to management on service improvements,
and support initiatives that enhance patient experience and trust. The position requires consistent on-site presence to respond promptly to cases, participate in meetings, and maintain solid relationships with clinical and administrative staff.
Qualifications
- Strong communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to build trust and facilitate productive dialogue between patients and healthcare teams.
- Conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities to address concerns fairly and guide parties toward mutually acceptable solutions.
- Organizational and documentation skills to accurately record cases, follow up on action items, and report trends to leadership.
- Basic understanding of healthcare processes, patient rights, and clinical workflows; prior experience in hospitals, clinics, or patient advocacy is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Bengaluru, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages used in Bengaluru is an advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, non-discriminatory practices, and culturally sensitive patient engagement.
