Job Purpose
The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the complete procurement lifecycle for industrial automation projects and operational requirements. The role involves sourcing, vendor management, price negotiations, procurement planning, purchase order management, delivery follow-up, and ensuring timely availability of materials while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance.
The incumbent shall play a key role in supporting project execution by procuring automation, electrical, instrumentation, and related industrial products from approved suppliers and OEMs.

Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Procurement Management
Handle complete procurement activities from receipt of material requisitions to final delivery of materials.
Review and understand technical specifications, BOMs, drawings, and project requirements.




Prepare RFQs and obtain competitive quotations from suppliers.
Evaluate commercial and technical aspects of supplier quotations.
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and commercial conditions.
Generate and release Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures.
Track procurement status and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Vendor Management
Develop and maintain robust relationships with OEMs, distributors, and suppliers.
Identify and onboard new suppliers for improved sourcing opportunities.
Conduct vendor evaluations and performance reviews.
Resolve supplier-related issues pertaining to quality, delivery, and commercial matters.
Project Procurement Coordination
Coordinate closely with Engineering, Projects, Sales, Stores, and Accounts teams.
Ensure procurement activities align with project timelines and customer commitments.
Monitor material availability and proactively address potential shortages.
