Role Summary The Director – HR will be a strategic member of the university's leadership team, responsible for designing and driving the end-to-end people strategy for faculty, academic leadership, and administrative staff. The role demands a leader with strong academic institutional credibility, deep understanding of university governance and administration, and a proven track record of building HR functions within top-tier, NIRF-ranked institutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and lead the university's overall HR strategy aligned to its academic vision, growth plans, and institutional accreditation goals (NAAC, NBA, NIRF).
Lead end-to-end talent acquisition for faculty, research, and administrative positions, including senior academic leadership hires (Deans, HoDs, Professors).
Build and institutionalize robust performance management, career progression, and faculty appraisal systems in line with UGC/AICTE norms and best-in-class academic practices.
Own compensation & benefits strategy,



benchmarking against top private universities and NIRF top-ranked institutions to ensure competitiveness in faculty and staff retention.
Drive leadership development, succession planning, and capability-building programs for academic and administrative leadership.
Oversee HR operations, compliance, statutory requirements, HRMS/HRIS systems, and administrative governance across campuses.
Partner closely with the Vice Chancellor's office, Registrar, and Deans on organizational design, manpower planning, and academic restructuring.
Champion a solid institutional culture, employee engagement, diversity, and grievance-redressal mechanisms across faculty and staff.
Support accreditation and ranking exercises (NAAC, NIRF, NBA) by ensuring HR data, faculty documentation, and compliance records are audit-ready.
Manage HR budgets, vendor relationships (recruitment partners, HR technology, payroll), and audits.
Lead change management initiatives as the university scales new schools, campus
