A scrub nurse is a specialized perioperative registered nurse who wears sterile gowns and gloves to work directly within the sterile field. They prepare surgical instruments, maintain sterile conditions, and pass tools to surgeons during operations. Key Responsibilities
- Pre-operative preparation: Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Sterile field maintenance: Perform surgical hand scrubs, wear sterile attire, and watch the sterile field to stop infections.
- Intra-operative assistance: Pass scalpels, sponges, and sutures to the surgeon while anticipating team needs.
- Surgical counts: Count needles, sponges, and instruments with the circulating nurse before and after procedures.
- Post-operative care: Manage tissue specimens, explicit instruments, and help move patients to recovery.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
