We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA Operations Support Subject Matter Expert SME to manage and support our Oracle database systems The ideal candidate will have experience in database management performance optimization backup and recovery data integrity and troubleshooting using specific tools and technologies including Oracle RAC
Key Responsibilities
Database Management o Installation Configuration Upgrades Set up and maintain Oracle systems including upgrades and patches using Oracle Universal Installer OUI and DBCA o Storage Management Allocate storage manage tablespaces and plan for future needs using Automatic Storage Management ASM o User Management Create and manage user accounts permissions and access using Oracle Enterprise Manager OEM and SQLPlus o Security Implement and maintain protection using Oracle Advanced Security and Oracle Data Safe
Performance Optimization o Monitoring Track performance and identify bottlenecks using OEM Real Application Testing and AWR o Tuning Tune parameters SQL queries and indexes using Oracle SQL Tuning Advisor and Database Performance Analyzer
Backup and Recovery o Backups Regularly back up databases using Oracle Recovery Manager RMAN o Recovery Restore databases and resolve corruption using RMAN and Oracle Data Guard
Data Integrity o Data Modeling Design and implement productive schemas using Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler o Data Validation Ensure accuracy and consistency using Oracle Data Integrator ODI
Collaboration o User Support Provide training and support on database access and use
Troubleshooting o Problem Solving Identify and resolve issues using Oracle Trace and Oracle Diagnostic Pack o Documentation Maintain configuration and procedure docs using Confluence and SharePoint
Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills o Strong knowledge of Oracle database systems and related technologies o Experience with Oracle RAC Real Application Clusters for high availability and scalability o Proficiency in storage management user management and security implementation o Expertise in performance monitoring tuning and optimization o Knowledge of backup and recovery processes
