We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled Software Development Engineer II (SDE II) to join our engineering team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in backend development, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience building scalable, high-performance applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to build customer-centric fintech products.
This role is best suited for SDE2 or early SDE3 candidates who enjoy solving complex engineering problems and mentoring junior developers.
Must have Skills:
3–6 years of backend development experience (SDE2 / Early SDE3)
Solid proficiency in Java (Java 8/11/17) and Spring Boot
Hands-on experience in Microservices Architecture
Experience working in the Payments domain
Experience building or enhancing KYC (Know Your Customer) workflows
Experience in User Onboarding and customer lifecycle journeys
Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend system design
Excellent coding, data structures, algorithms, and logical problem-solving skills
Experience writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code
Exposure to SQL databases and performance optimization
Experience with Git and CI/CD practices
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and enhance payment processing, KYC, and user onboarding platforms.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features.
Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and performance.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.
Mentor 3–4 junior engineers, providing technical guidance and promoting engineering best practices.
Drive continuous improvements in code quality, scalability, and development processes.
