Job Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

Ownership and responsibility for medium and high user impact network technologies.
Design, implement, maintain and support Black Box’s communications networks, including the Black Box LAN/WAN, internet access, network security, remote access, network services, and all related telecommunications hardware and software components.
Design, implement, maintain, and support secure and scalable business-to-business and external communications network between Black Box and external organizations.
Provide third-tier support working directly with vendors, service providers, end-users, and other IT personnel to isolate and resolve network hardware and network related software communications issues.
Works with manufacturers, vendors, service providers, and other organizations to provide recommendations and determine areas to research, validate and implement upgrades, enhancements, or configuration changes to ensure compatibility and enhance performance of Black Box communication networks.




Examines projects for security concerns and makes recommendations for a reasonable solution.
