We are looking for a strong Individual Contributor (IC) with 4-6 years of experience in backend development. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in Java-based technologies, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms, with a strong focus on building scalable and high-performance systems. The candidate should be comfortable working in an AI-assisted development environment using tools such as Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code to improve engineering productivity. Working Knowledge of frontend technologies on React / Next.js
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices
Work with relational databases and caching systems for high-performance applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability and performance
Work in a Linux-based environment and handle deployments using Docker
Maintain version control and follow CI/CD best practices.
Technical Skills (Must Have)
Robust proficiency in Java 17+, J2SE
Experience with Spring Boot, JPA (Hibernate)
Strong understanding of REST API design and development
Hands-on experience with MySQL and SQL optimization
Experience with Redis (caching, performance tuning)
Experience with Docker and containerization
Proficiency in Git (version control)
AI-Assisted Development
Hands-on experience using one or more AI coding assistants such as:Cursor AI / Copilot /Claude Code.
Ability to effectively leverage AI tools for Code generation, Refactoring, Debugging, Unit test generation, Documentation, and productivity improvement
Cloud Requirements
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is mandatory.
Experience with AWS will be good to have.
