Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux &

- OpenShift Platform Engineer to manage, support, and optimize enterprise-grade infrastructure environments. The role involves hands-on administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms, and automation-driven DevOps practices to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of enterprise workloads.

Technical Expertise :

Linux Administration (RHEL) :

- Solid experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
- Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Shell scripting using Bash
- System services management using systemd
- Security hardening using SELinux, firewalld
- User, storage, and process management
- Patch management, upgrades, and lifecycle maintenance

OpenShift / Kubernetes Administration :

- Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)
- Kubernetes cluster administration and operations
- Management of workloads: pods, deployments, services, ingress, namespaces
- Container technologies : Podman, Docker, CRI-O
- Working knowledge of Operators and Helm charts
- OpenShift networking, routing, and security concepts
- Monitoring, logging,



and alerting (cluster observability)
- Troubleshooting cluster and application-level issues

Automation &

- DevOps :
- Scripting and automation using Ansible, Bash, and Python
- Experience with Git / GitLab version control systems
- CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins / GitLab CI / Tekton
- Infrastructure automation and basic Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Collaboration with development teams for deployment automation

Infrastructure &

- Platforms :
- Understanding of VMware / KVM virtualization platforms
- Storage systems : SAN/NAS concepts and CSI drivers
- Networking fundamentals : TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, Load Balancing, Firewalls
- Backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions
- Integration of OpenShift with enterprise infrastructure components

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain Linux (RHEL) servers
- Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters
- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, and Ansible
- Provide L2/L3 technical support for production environments
- Participate in incident management and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Ensure high availability, reliability, and platform stability
- Participate in on-call and after-hours support as required
