Overview
Power Grid Division is involved in electricity utilities sector in the UK & I, Canada, US, ME and APAC. We provide value-added engineering services and build solutions across the entire spectrum of electricity networks, from high voltage power transmission grids to low voltage industrial power distribution. We have designed HV Substations up to 400kV and Electrical infrastructure for large industrial/ Multi Use developments and Heavy industries. The team provides services to clients across the globe; however, the major clients are in UK and Middle East.
The Power T&D; team is looking for experienced Principal engineers in HV Plant Discipline, as we look to grow the team in line with business requirements. We are looking for experienced engineers for mid to senior level role in ‘Overhead Lines’ design for transmission and distribution projects as we look to grow the team in line with business requirements. Using your experience and knowledge,
you will be leading the delivery of a variety of projects drawing upon the wider team for the technical engineering requirements and building a solid relationship with our clients. You will be client-facing, responsible for the delivery of our work and making sure it meets our client’s expectations. This role will be based at our AtkinsRéalis office in Bangalore, Mumbai, Gurgaon in India.

Your role
Perform detailed engineering and design of overhead transmission lines ranging from HV, EHV, and UHV voltage levels.
Develop transmission line models using PLS-CADD and perform:
Route selection and optimization
Sag-tension calculations
Clearance analysis
Structure spotting
Material and construction reports
Conduct structural analysis and design of transmission line structures using:
PLS-TOWER for lattice steel t
