Role Description

Online Interior Design Mentors will guide learners through course content, projects, and assignments, providing constructive feedback and practical insights. Mentors will conduct live sessions, workshops, and studio-style critiques to help learners understand design principles, space planning, materials, and styling. They will collaborate with the academic team to refine curriculum, develop learning resources, and ensure content remains current with industry trends.

Daily responsibilities include responding to learner queries, reviewing portfolios, and supporting learners in applying design concepts to real-world scenarios.





Qualifications

- Strong foundation in interior design principles, space planning, materials, and finishes, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to learners.
- Experience mentoring, teaching, or coaching in design or related fields, with a learner-centric and inclusive approach.
- Proficiency in common design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and the ability to demonstrate their use in an educational setting.
- Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback and support diverse learning styles.
- Qualified portfolio showcasing residential or commercial interior design projects, demonstrating creativity, functional design, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline; equivalent qualified experience will also be considered.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving curriculum needs.
- Interest in education technology and online learning methodologies; prior experience with online teaching platforms is an advantage.
