Job Summary
The Nuclear Project QC Engineer is responsible for preparation of ITP referring to applicable ASME codes, customer specification. Ensuring that pumps supplied for nuclear projects meet all applicable quality, regulatory, customer, and project requirements. The role supports inspection, documentation, verification, traceability, and nonconformance control throughout the project lifecycle, from order entry through final shipment.
The position requires close coordination with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Customers to ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Review contract, customer, code, and project quality requirements for nuclear pump orders.
Develop inspection and test plans (ITPs) for nuclear projects for pumps.
Interpret customer quality requirements and ensure they are fully incorporated into ITPs, quality plans, and inspection documentation.
Support receiving inspection, in-process, final, and witness inspections as required.




Verify material traceability, certification, and product identification.
Review and approve quality records, MDRs / data books, and turnover packages.
Ensure compliance with applicable nuclear quality standards and project specifications and maintain necessary documents as per ITP.
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and third-party inspectors.
Manage nonconformance reports, corrective actions, and concession / deviation processes.
Support vendor surveillance and sub-supplier quality control activities.
Confirm calibration status of gauges, tools, and test equipment used on the project.
Monitor weld, machining, assembly, testing, and preservation activities where applicable.
Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for customer / regulatory review.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
