Role Purpose
Lead the design, build, automation, and operation of cloud-native data platforms and data products, while providing technical leadership across the Homes Data & Pricing Engineering teams. The role is expected to drive engineering excellence, platform modernisation, DevOps adoption, and operational stability
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Platform Leadership
Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.
Define and drive technical strategy, architectural standards, and engineering best practices.
Lead solution design for scalable batch and real-time data platforms.
Drive adoption of reusable engineering patterns and automation frameworks.
Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering
Design and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on GCP.
Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Manage Kubernetes-based platforms and containerised workloads.
Ensure platform availability, scalability, security, and performance
DevOps & CI/CD
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Harness, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent tooling.
Implement GitOps practices and deployment automation.
Improve software release processes and developer productivity.
Promote continuous integration, continuous testing, and continuous delivery.
