We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer with a strong emphasis on Assembler programming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications to meet business requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of mainframe technologies and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement mainframe applications using Assembler and other relevant programming languages.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mainframe applications with other systems.
Perform debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of mainframe applications to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain and enhance existing mainframe applications, ensuring they meet current business needs.
Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures for future reference.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mainframe development.
Mandatory Skills
Robust knowledge and experience in Assembler programming.
Proficiency in mainframe technologies, including JCL, COBOL, and DB2.
Solid understanding of mainframe architecture and operating systems.
Experience with debugging and performance tuning of mainframe applications.
Ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with other programming languages such as C, C++, or Java.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools.
Experience in Agile development environments.
Understanding of database management systems and SQL.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
