Position: Night Manager

Department: Front Office / Operations

Reports To: Resort Manager / General Manager

Job Summary The Night Manager is responsible for overseeing all hotel/resort operations during the night shift and ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of guests and employees. The role involves supervising night operations, handling guest concerns and emergencies, coordinating with departments, monitoring security, and ensuring a smooth handover to the morning team.

Key Responsibilities1. Night Operations

- Oversee and manage all resort operations during the night shift.
- Ensure smooth functioning of the Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, and other operational departments.
- Conduct regular rounds of the property to monitor operations and guest areas.
- Ensure all night shift employees are present, properly groomed, and performing their duties effectively.
- Act as the Manager on Duty during the assigned shift.

2. Guest Service
- Handle guest complaints, requests, and emergencies professionally and promptly.
- Ensure VIP guests and special requests are attended to as per resort standards.
- Monitor guest arrivals, departures, and any late-night requirements.
- Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction throughout the night.

3. Safety and Security
- Coordinate closely with the Security team to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and resort property.
- Respond immediately to emergencies, accidents, fire alarms, medical situations, or security incidents.
- Ensure all safety and emergency procedures are followed.
- Report any unusual incidents to the Resort Manager/General Manager.

4. Financial and Administrative Responsibilities
- Verify daily reports, cash handling, billing, and other night audit activities, where applicable.
- Ensure proper handover of important information, pending issues, and operational requirements to the morning team.
- Prepare and submit the Night Manager’s Daily Report.
- Maintain proper records of incidents, complaints, maintenance issues,



and significant occurrences.

5. Team Coordination
- Coordinate with all departments to resolve operational issues during the night.
- Provide guidance and support to night shift employees.
- Ensure staff discipline, attendance, and grooming standards are maintained.
- Escalate major concerns to the concerned HOD or senior management.

6. Property Maintenance
- Report maintenance and engineering issues immediately to the concerned department.
- Follow up on urgent breakdowns affecting guest comfort or safety.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper presentation of public areas.

Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel/resort operations, including supervisory experience.
- Previous experience as Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, or Night Manager will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Front Office operations and hotel night procedures.

- Knowledge of hotel PMS and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts.

Working Hours The Night Manager will work as per the assigned night shift schedule and may be required to work on weekends, public holidays, and during emergencies.

- Accuracy of reports and operational handovers.
- Staff discipline and performance during the night shift.
- Timely resolution and escalation of operational issues.

Note: The Night Manager may be assigned additional responsibilities as required by the management based on operational needs.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
