Taking a lead role in Powertrain System design and development throughout the product development life cycle to meet performance, reliability, quality and cost objectives of the program.
Job Description
This position is responsible for Powertrain System and Components design at Surface Division for Drilling Equipment.
Lead powertrain system design and development for mining equipment, ensuring adherence to performance, efficiency, and regulatory standards.
Analyze and optimize powertrain components to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Integrate powertrain systems seamlessly into overall equipment design through cross-functional collaboration.
Plan and execute comprehensive testing and validation procedures to meet performance and durability targets.
Complete Design and Development: Engine Selection, Power- Eco Mode torque selection, Aftertreatment Selection/Integration, DEF/AdBlue along with Cold Start/Hot, Engine Peripherals
Air intake system Design,
Cooling system (Radiator, hydraulic, transmission, Fuel Cooler along with & Optimized Fan Selection, Transmission selection (Manual/Torque-converter/Transaxle/HST) selection, Coupling selection, Exhaust system installation (EGR, NVH, DOC, and SCR) selection, Fuel System (CRS, Mechanical engine, schematic layout), Clutch (diaphragm type) and Tire-Rim, Engine Mounts, propeller shaft, levers and controls.
Working with Electric Drives and integration of same with Hydraulic an pneumatic systems.
Develop and implement test protocols to validate powertrain system performance under various conditions.
Mentor junior engineers in testing and validation activities, ensuring compliance with standards.
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to enhance testing and validation processes.
