? Job Details
Position: Junior Breeder (Chilli)
Department: Research & Development (R&D;)
Location: Nangaon, Pune
Reporting To: Senior Breeder – Chilli
? Eligibility
– M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Genetics & Plant Breeding, Plant Breeding, or a related discipline.
– 1 to 3 years of experience in vegetable breeding.
– Experience in chilli breeding will be an added advantage.
? Key Responsibilities
‣ Assist in chilli breeding and hybrid development programs.
‣ Perform crossing, pollination,
and selection of breeding lines.
‣ Plan and manage greenhouse, nursery, and field trials.
‣ Record, analyze, and maintain breeding data.
‣ Support evaluation of breeding materials and hybrid performance.
‣ Coordinate with production and R&D; teams to ensure smooth breeding operations.
✅ Required Skills
‣ Knowledge of plant breeding techniques.
‣ Trial planning and data analysis.
‣ Proficiency in MS Excel.
‣ Solid observation and analytical skills.
‣ Willingness to work extensively in the field.
