Position: Modular Furniture Production Designer
Location: IMT Manesar, Gurugram
Job Type: Full-time, On-site
Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 per month
Experience Required: 5–8 Years

Role Overview
Ddesignery is looking for an experienced Modular Furniture Production Designer to join our production and execution team in IMT Manesar, Gurugram.
This is a technical execution role focused on converting approved furniture designs into accurate production-ready documentation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AutoCAD, production/shop drawings, BOM preparation, cutting sheets, BOQs, material planning, and factory coordination for modular furniture manufacturing.
This is not a client-facing sales or 3D design role. We are looking for someone who understands the complete production workflow from approved design to factory manufacturing and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D production/shop drawings for modular kitchens, wardrobes, office furniture, and custom furniture.
- Prepare accurate BOMs, cutting sheets, BOQs, material specifications, and hardware schedules.
- Convert approved architectural and interior designs into factory-executable production drawings.
- Prepare panel-wise cutting details and optimize material utilization to minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with architects, designers, and project teams to finalize dimensions, finishes, hardware, and construction details.
- Conduct site measurements and ensure production drawings match actual site conditions.
- Coordinate with factory production teams for CNC, cutting, drilling, edge banding, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
- Release approved production drawings and maintain proper drawing revision control.
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams for material planning and execution.
- Resolve technical issues during manufacturing and installation.
- Monitor production progress and identify potential delays before they impact project timelines.
- Ensure accuracy of drawings, minimize production errors, and reduce material wastage.
- Maintain project-wise production drawings, BOMs, BOQs, cutting sheets, and technical documentation.
- Support installation teams during execution and ensure smooth project completion.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing detailed production and shop drawings.
- Hands-on experience preparing BOMs, cutting sheets, BOQs, and production documentation.
- Strong understanding of modular furniture manufacturing processes.
- Practical knowledge of plywood, MDF, HDHMR, particle board, laminates, veneers, edge banding, and furniture construction.
- Good knowledge of furniture hardware systems such as Hettich, Häfele, Ebco, or equivalent brands.
- Experience coordinating directly with factory production teams.
- Valuable working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for BOM preparation, BOQs, and material planning.
- Understanding of CNC-based modular furniture manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of SketchUp or other 3D software will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 5–8 years of experience in modular furniture production design or modular furniture manufacturing.
- Experience working with modular kitchen manufacturers, wardrobe manufacturers, office furniture manufacturers, custom furniture manufacturers, or interior fit-out companies.
- Strong understanding of production drawings, BOM preparation, cutting sheets, factory coordination, and installation support.
- Ability to independently handle the complete production documentation process from approved design to factory release.
