Responsibilities

- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of AI engineers, platform engineers, and product managers.
- Set transparent goals, mentor team members, and foster a culture focused on impact, collaboration, and rapid learning.
- Implement agile processes prioritizing speed without compromising quality or security.
- Collaborate closely with customers to understand AI safety challenges, innovation objectives, and safety requirements.
- Translate customer needs into actionable roadmaps aligned with their innovation cycles.
- Oversee the development of tools and platforms for alignment assessments, adversarial testing, drift detection, and interpretability analysis.
- Make informed build vs. buy decisions to optimize speed and integration with customers.
- Champion engineering excellence by enforcing secure coding practices, automation, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Ensure system reliability with SLAs, SLOs, rigorous testing, and operational dashboards.
- Continuously innovate AI safety methodologies by staying current with research and piloting emerging techniques.
