Role Description The Mining Manager role at Gainwell Commosales Pvt. Ltd. is a full time, in office position based in Durgapur.

The Mining

Manager will oversee day-to-day mining operations, including planning, production scheduling, and coordination with site teams to ensure safe, efficient extraction activities.

Responsibilities include implementing mine plans, monitoring performance against targets, managing resources and budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, geologists, equipment operators, and management to optimize mine productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Manager will also prepare operational reports, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to long-term strategic planning for the mine.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Mine Planning and Mining Engineering to design, implement, and optimize mining operations.
- Solid knowledge of Mine Safety practices and regulations to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Understanding of Geology to interpret geological data, assess reserves, and support planning and production decisions.
- Experience in Budgeting and cost control to manage operational expenditures and improve financial performance.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in managing open-pit or underground mining operations, preferably in large industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Robust leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proficiency in mining software and MS Office tools; familiarity with mine planning software is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Durgapur and adapt to dynamic operational conditions.
