Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Linux kernel device drivers for peripherals such as I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, USB, GPIO, Graphics, Storage, and Networking.
Work on Linux kernel subsystems including DMA, IOMMU, Memory Management, Interrupt Handling, and Power Management.
Perform board bring-up, BSP development, and hardware-software integration.
Debug kernel panics, crashes, performance bottlenecks, and driver-related issues.
Develop and maintain Device Tree (DTS/DTB) configurations.
Work with Yocto/Buildroot based embedded Linux platforms.
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and validation teams.
Support kernel bug fixes, upstreaming activities, and production releases.
Optimize driver performance, reliability, and power consumption.
Required Skills
Solid programming skills in C/C++.
6+ years of experience in Linux Kernel and Device Driver Development.
Hands-on experience with Linux kernel internals.
Experience in Yocto, BSP customization, and Embedded Linux.
Good understanding of Device Trees, IPC, DMA, Interrupts, and Memory Management.
Experience with debugging tools such as GDB, KGDB, JTAG, Trace32, and kernel logs.
Familiarity with Git, Gerrit, and Linux development workflows.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in Graphics/Display, Multimedia, Audio, Storage drivers.
Knowledge of Virtualization, Hypervisors, or Automotive Linux platforms.
Experience with Open Source contributions and kernel upstreaming.
Exposure to Android BSP/AAOS is an added advantage.
