Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MEP Quantity Surveyor role based in Hyderabad, India. The MEP Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing and reviewing bills of quantities (BOQ), conducting detailed cost estimates, and supporting cost planning throughout the project lifecycle.
Daily tasks include monitoring project expenditures, assisting in budget preparation, validating contractor claims, and preparing regular cost reports for internal and client stakeholders. The role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers,
and clients to ensure cost control measures are implemented and maintained on-site. The MEP Quantity Surveyor will also support post-contract activities such as variation analysis, final account preparation, and forensic cost reviews as required.
Qualifications
- Solid cost planning and cost management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain project budgets.
- Experience in BOQ preparation, measurement, and verification for various types of construction projects.
- Proficiency in cost control and cost reporting to track financial performance and support decision-making.
- Good understanding of construction contracts, pricing, and procurement processes.
- Relevant academic qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Ability to work on-site, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying or cost management software; exposure to data-driven reporting tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Indian construction standards, local market rates, and industry best practices.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; additional local language skills are beneficial.
