Role
Kimbal is recruiting a Principal Engineer / Architect to own the electrical architecture of its BESS product offering from battery terminals to grid interconnection.
As the owner of power conversion, switchgear,



and interconnection subsystems, this person will navigate the challenges of optimizing round-trip efficiency, power quality, and cost within the rapidly evolving Indian energy storage market, all while ensuring code compliance, regulatory approvals, and safety.
This is a founding role within a current division that operates with the autonomy and pace of a startup, backed by the resources of an established company with deep utility relationships across India. Responsibilities
Own the BESS power architecture from battery terminals to grid interconnection, including:
DC system design: string/rack configuration, control, and protection
Power conversion systems (PCS)
MV and LV transformers and switchgear
Grid interc
