Role: Vehicle Integration Engineer – MCU (Motor Control Unit)

The Vehicle Integration Engineer – MCU is responsible for the vehicle-level integration, calibration, and validation of Motor Control Units (MCUs) in electric and hybrid vehicles. This role ensures seamless interaction between the MCU, motor, power electronics, battery system, and vehicle control systems, delivering high performance, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the vehicle-level integration of MCUs with electric motors, inverters, battery systems, and vehicle control units.
Define vehicle-level requirements, interfaces, and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet etc.) for MCU integration.
Conduct system-level testing, calibration and validation of motor control performance, torque management and efficiency.
Support on-vehicle testing and commissioning, including torque verification, motor response and thermal behavior evaluation.
Coordinate with hardware,



software and algorithm teams to ensure MCU functionality aligns with vehicle performance requirements.
Perform fault diagnostics, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for MCU and motor-related issues.
Contribute to Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and SOTIF compliance at the vehicle level, including ASIL verification and safety case development.
Implement and monitor vehicle-level calibration strategies for motor control loops, torque ramping and regenerative braking.
Support prototype and pre-production vehicle integration, wiring harness validation and ECU configuration.
Develop and maintain test plans, verification reports and integration documentation.
Collaborate with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and cross-functional teams to meet program milestones and quality objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related discipline.
4-8 years of experience in vehicle integration of motor control systems or power ele
