Business Unit: EPS Mobility

Role: Manufacturing Line Operator - Motor

As a Manufacturing Line Operator, you will run and monitor EV traction motor production equipment—including winding, forming, welding, impregnation, rotor assembly, final assembly, and EOL testing. You will follow standardized work, ensure safety compliance, maintain quality standards, and meet daily production targets with accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Workplace Discipline

Follow all EHS rules: PPE usage, machine guarding, LOTO (as required), chemical/resin handling, and secure operation of HV test equipment.
Attend daily safety briefings; immediately report hazards, unsafe acts, near-miss events .
Maintain a clean, organized workstation as per 5S and housekeeping standards.

Production Operation & Process Execution

Depending on assigned station (Stator, Rotor, Assembly, or EOL), responsibilities include:

Stator Production: Operate machines for lamination stacking/interlocking, hairpin or conventional winding, forming, laser welding, insulation placement, and impregnation/curing.




Rotor Production: Operate rotor assembly machines (magnet loading, shaft insertion, press-fitting, balancing) and Handle magnets safely using fixtures and follow polarity checks.
Motor Final Assembly: Assemble housings, bearings, shafts, cooling jackets, and sensors using torque tools, fixtures, and jigs.
End?of?Line Testing: Run EOL machines for electrical performance, vibration, noise, insulation resistance, hipot, and partial-discharge checks.

Quality & Documentation

Follow Control Plan , Standard Work , and inspection procedures .
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional checks using gauges, calipers, micrometers, torque tools, and checklists.
Document production data in MES/production sheets; ensure accurate traceability.
Escalate any non-conformance to Supervisor/Quality (stop?call?wait discipline).
