Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Laboratory Technologist role based at GPIL facilities in Raipur.
The Medical Laboratory
Technologist will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on patient and occupational health samples, following established medical laboratory protocols and safety standards.
Responsibilities include preparing specimens, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, monitoring test quality, documenting and reporting results accurately, and collaborating with medical and occupational health professionals to support diagnosis and health surveillance. The role involves strict adherence to quality control and infection prevention procedures, maintaining laboratory records,
managing reagent and supply inventory, and supporting compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The technologist will participate in continuous improvement initiatives, assist in training new team members, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and reliable laboratory environment for the organization.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Medical Technology and Laboratory Medicine skills to perform diagnostic testing and interpret results accurately.
- Candidates should possess core Laboratory Skills, including specimen handling, equipment operation, and adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills to ensure test accuracy, maintain calibration standards, and comply with regulatory and internal audit requirements.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine to understand clinical relevance of tests and support effective communication with healthcare professionals.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional registration or license as required by local regulations.
- Experience working in clinical or occupational health laboratories, preferably in industrial or corporate healthcare settings.
- Solid attention to detail, data integrity, and documentation skills, with proficiency in basic computer and laboratory information systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Raipur, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage workload in a high-activity environment.
