Company Description Egis is a leading global architectural consulting construction engineering operations and mobility services firm We create and operate intelligent infrastructure and buildings that both respond to the climate emergency and contribute to balanced sustainable and resilient development Our 22 000 employees operate across over 100 countries deploying their expertise to develop and deliver cutting-edge innovations and solutions for clients Through the wide range of our activities we are central to the collective organisation of society and the living environment of citizens all over the world With 3 500 employees across 8 countries in the Middle East Egis has delivered over 700 complex development projects stimulating economic growth and enhancing quality of life Ranked among the top ten firms in the Middle East by Engineering News Record ENR Egis is committed to sustainable development The Group s operations in the Middle East are built on strategic acquisitions and a deep understanding of local market conditions Egis long history of providing comprehensive engineering consulting and project management services makes it a trusted partner for regional governments investors and developers To manage and oversee the Execution Design of the Cargo Lift in B11 that is being done by TB02 ensuring the closure of the open comments from previous phases Construction Design Support Engage on the supervision of other mechanical design activities e g TB04 TB12 TB13 TB20 TB21 linked to Lifts Cranes hoist corbels rails support and any other handling equipment and its structural interfaces Mechanical aspects of complex nuclear doors on the Tokamak Building with confinement shielding requirements Provide design support where required e g specification and design of mechanical components cranes corbels rails supports other mechanical structural interfaces Prepare or update existing specifications for Tokamak cranes lifts and handling equipment New cranes lifts and handling equipment required in non nuclear and nuclear buildings Key duties and responsibilities To respond to queries from TB02 regarding the Cargo Lift design TB21 regarding Tokamak cranes TB20 regarding Tokamak doors and handling equipment in other buildings To review and comment upon the execution design documents and follow-up the execution design process and subsequent site activities To liaise with F4E and IO on technical issues related to handling equipment To liaise with other ENGAGE staff that are involved in the design review e g Project Coordinators electrical engineers I C engineers fire engineers nuclear safety experts To provide technical support to ENGAGE construction team during installation and test commissioning stages Qualifications Degree in mechanical engineering Experience 5 years experience in the design of mechanical handling systems Experience in the design of lifting systems in a nuclear project Lifting and Supporting Equipment Design and Substantiation Design of Cranes Specification for classification stress calculations and design criteria for structures Mechanical Handling Equipment Analysis and Assessment Languages English fluent C1 Additional Information Positive communications skills ability to liaise with engineers in other disciplines good level of English - both spoken and written Strong conventional and nuclear safety culture Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in written communications with clients and contractors Ability to assess technical documentation of the Contractors Manufacturers Ability to manage own workload in accordance with challenging timescales Fluent Technical English
