Position Title Manager – PLS CADD Position Summary This role will be responsible for optimisation & automation of transmission line designing, primarily as a part of Trans-Analyst Project Position Demands Travel when required
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Designing of transmission lines using PLS-CADD to determine optimised BoQ- Tower spotting, calculate conductor sags, determine right of way requirements, and develop transmission line plan and profile drawings
- Integration of PLS CADD with Arc GIS
- Perform structural analysis and design of pole, lattice, framed, and guyed structures
- Develop cost estimates, schedule and prepare specifications to design transmission lines for specific kV ranges
- Explore technology trends for transmission line design optimization
