The Record to Report (RTR) Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end general accounting and financial close activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. The role oversees month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, statutory and management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

The RTR Manager partners closely with business stakeholders, auditors, tax teams, controllership, and shared services leadership to ensure strong financial controls, operational excellence, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Must Haves -

Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Equivalent.

RTR Experience

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close and Reporting

* Lead and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Review and approve journal entries, accruals, provisions,



and accounting adjustments.
- Monitor close calendars and ensure adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Drive close optimization initiatives to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency.

General Ledger Management

* Maintain integrity of the General Ledger and chart of accounts.
- Ensure accurate accounting treatment in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local accounting standards as applicable.
- Review and analyze financial results and investigate significant variances.
- Ensure proper accounting documentation and audit trails.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

* Oversee preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure timely resolution of reconciliation exceptions and aged items.
- Monitor account health and compliance with reconciliation policies.

Intercompany and Fixed Asset Accounting

* Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliation, and settlement activities.
- Ensure accurate fixed asset accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
- Coordinate with global stakeholders to resolve intercompany discrepancies.

Compliance, Controls, and Audit Support

* Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and corporate policies.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Identify and mitigate accounting and compliance risks.
- Drive remediation of audit findings and control gaps.

Team Leadership

* Lead, coach, and develop RTR analysts and team leads.
- Establish performance goals and development plans for team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

* Partner with Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A;, and Business Operations teams.
- Serve as a key point of contact for global and regional finance stakeholders.
- Present financial results, issues, and improvement opportunities to leadership.

Process Improvement and Transformation

* Drive standardization, automation, and process optimization initiatives.
- Leverage ERP and reporting tools to improve productivity and reporting quality.
- Support finance transformation and migration projects.
- Apply Lean,



Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies where applicable.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
- CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA preferred.
- 8–12 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting, with significant RTR experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years of people management experience.
- Experience working in a Shared Services, GCC, BPO, or multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of General Ledger, financial close, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
- Knowledge of SOX, internal controls, and accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS).
