? Hiring: Librarian

Location: Vidyashilp Academy, Bangalore North, Yelahanka
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Librarian to join our team. If you have a passion for books, a love of reading, and an interest in organizing resources and supporting students in their learning journey, we would love to hear from you

Roles & Responsibilities:
? Oversee library operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and resource protection
? Develop and maintain the library inventory (books, periodicals, multimedia, etc.)
? Conduct regular database updates and information checks
? Assist patrons with research, reading materials, and references
? Respond to queries via phone or email
? Manage and update library website content (book summaries, reviews, blogs, etc.)
? Research and implement new information system techniques
? Organize activities and events (storytelling sessions, author interactions, book fairs, reading clubs, etc.)
? Manage library budgeting and billing for new resources
? Supervise library assistants and staff





Desired Candidate Profile:
✔️ Previous experience as a Librarian or Junior Librarian
✔️ Proficiency in computers and electronic databases
✔️ Familiarity with information management systems
✔️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔️ Robust organizational and multitasking abilities
✔️ Patient, friendly, and service-oriented personality
✔️ Degree in Library Science (Master's in Library Science or Information Management is an added advantage)
✔️ A strong reading habit with a genuine passion for books, literature, and lifelong learning is highly preferred.
