Job Description:
Must-Have
Strong experience in COBOL programming on IBM Mainframe (z/OS)
Hands-on with Assembler (IBM mainframe) – ability to read, analyse, and debug
Good exposure to DB2 (SQL, embedded SQL in COBOL)
Familiarity with migration projects for one or more customers
Experience of working in Production support
Ability to collaborate with multiple teams on complex project with good oral and written communication
Knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language) for batch execution and debugging
Experience with file handling (VSAM, flat files, sequential files)
Valuable-to-Have
Good to have IDMS experience - IDMS concepts (schemas, subschemas, DML commands)
Should be well versed with Agile S/W development & delivery life cycle
Excellent analytic, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to thrive in a high-performance team
Flexible and adaptable to changes during migration phases
Team player, working closely with QA, Customer and IBM teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate technical information in a clear and succinct manner
Experience of working and interacting with a UK/US client
