Mechanical Design Engineer – Bushing
The opportunity
Hitachi Energy is looking for a Bushing Design Engineer to join our Global Engineering Team, Vadodara. You will play a crucial role in the development and design of innovative products and systems that meet our customers’ needs and industry standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project specifications are met while adhering to industry standards and design best practices. Your expertise in engineering principles and practices will contribute to optimizing designs for performance, functionality, and sustainability.
How you’ll make an impact
The successful candidate will be part of an International Design and Engineering Team, heavily specializing in Power Transformers Bushing design, covering different countries.




Understanding manufacturing techniques used to manufacture the components at the Ludvika plant, including but not limited to metal casting (sand, permanent, and die), plastics thermoset and epoxy (poured, injected, cast), plastics molded, metal forming (cast, drawn, forged), porcelain (extruded or thrown).
Interact with our Global Technical Center in recent developments and R&D; Projects.
Problem-solving, process design, and product application.
Developing and implementing cost-out projects.
Ability to speak with and work together with technical teams in different parts of the world.
