Role: Linux System Administrator (Simulation Platform)

Experience: 5–10 years

Location: Bangalore and Pune (On-site)

About the Role:

We need a Linux System Administrator to run and improve a high-performance remote visualization platform. This platform is used every day by simulation engineers, so it needs to be secure, fast, and secure. You will manage the systems, fix issues, automate work, and keep the platform healthy.

What You Will Do:

- Manage and maintain Linux servers and related services
- Handle L2 and L3 level support issues
- Resolve incidents, service requests, and security cases
- Find the root cause of problems and fix them for the long term
- Install and manage software used by engineering teams
- Automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual work
- Set up and improve monitoring and alerting (so problems are caught early)
- Keep documentation updated
- Follow security and compliance rules
- Talk directly with users and help them in a friendly, solution-focused way

How You Will Work:

- Agile team, sprint-based work
- Bigger planning cycle every 10 weeks
- Reports to a Product Owner based in Södertälje




- Active participation in team meetings, planning, and reviews
- Full ownership of tasks — from planning to delivery to documentation

Must-Have Skills:

- Strong hands-on Linux administration experience
- Automation / configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible)
- Monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Grafana)
- Git-based version control, especially GitLab
- CI/CD workflow experience
- Good English communication (spoken and written)

Good to Have:

- Experience with remote desktop or VDI platforms
- Experience with graphics-heavy or compute-heavy systems
- Experience with HPC (High Performance Computing) clusters
- Experience with SLURM
- Exposure to engineering or simulation software

Ideal Candidate: Someone who is structured, proactive, and takes ownership. Enjoys solving tough technical problems, likes working closely with end users, and is comfortable in a distributed team setup handling live production issues.
