Founding Tactile Systems Engineer
About us: Kosha Labs is building the data infrastructure for physical AI.
We build large-scale multimodal capture systems combining stereo vision, tactile sensing, motion capture, SLAM, and robot demonstrations to generate production-quality datasets for the world's leading humanoid robotics companies and frontier AI labs.
Role: We're looking for an exceptional engineer to own our entire tactile sensing stack.
You'll build the infrastructure that turns raw tactile sensor streams into synchronized, calibrated, production-ready datasets for robot learning. This role sits at the intersection of robotics, embedded systems, perception, and data infrastructure.
What you'll build:
- Production pipelines for tactile sensor acquisition, recording, and processing.
- Calibration pipelines for tactile gloves (per-sensor calibration, normalization, drift correction, validation).
- Low-latency synchronization across tactile sensors, stereo cameras, IMUs, motion capture,
and robot demonstrations.
- Sensor health monitoring, diagnostics, and automated QA tooling.
- Data validation, visualization, playback, and debugging tools.
- Dataset generation pipelines with timestamps, metadata, and quality metrics.
- Interfaces for integrating recent tactile hardware into our capture platform.
You'll enjoy this role if:
- You like building systems from scratch.
- You enjoy making hardware actually work reliably.
- You obsess over synchronization, latency, calibration, and data quality.
- You'd rather spend a day with an oscilloscope, debugger, or profiler than in meetings.
- You have high agency and can own difficult technical problems end to end.
