Lead – Data Solutions & Analytics | Bengaluru, India | Hybrid A leading global organization is seeking a Lead – Data Solutions & Analytics to lead a data engineering support team and drive the development, optimization, and operational reliability of modern data solutions across an Azure-based data platform.

This is a leadership-focused role combining Azure data engineering, analytics, production support, data governance, automation, and people management . The position will work closely with data engineers, business stakeholders, Azure specialists, project teams, and other technical functions to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable data products.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead a Data Engineering Support team responsible for building, supporting, and optimizing data solutions and analytical products.
- Design and manage data integration solutions, data lakes, warehouses, pipelines, and analytical systems across Azure.
- Develop and optimize pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, PySpark/Spark SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL .
- Develop complex SQL/T-SQL queries, stored procedures, data validation processes, and performance optimization solutions.
- Deploy and support production data pipelines, including monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Establish automation, observability, alerting, operational KPIs, and data-quality monitoring frameworks.
- Lead major incident management, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and FMEA processes.
- Establish and maintain governance, compliance, security, and operational support standards.
- Develop data models and analytical frameworks supporting reporting and business decision-making.
- Partner with data asset, capability, engineering, and business teams to identify appropriate data sources and develop effective data architectures.
- Support testing and validation activities to ensure data pipeline reliability and performance.
- Apply DevOps, DataOps, and Agile methodologies ,



including Git/Bitbucket and CI/CD through Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Work with Azure specialists and cross-functional teams to scope and develop customer-facing solutions, tools, modules, and proof-of-concepts.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Azure data engineering and contribute to the adoption of modern data engineering practices.
- Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement across processes, technology, and support capabilities.
- Present insights, recommendations, and performance metrics to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, IT, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of relevant experience in Azure Data Engineering and Power BI.
- Proven experience leading or managing Data Engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Azure Databricks
- PySpark / Spark SQL
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Data Lake
- Azure Synapse
- Azure SQL
- SQL / T-SQL
- Data modelling and performance tuning
- Experience with production support, major incident management, RCA, CAPA, and FMEA.
- Understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and data governance.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps .
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, time-management, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively across technical, business, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred
- Azure Data Engineer Associate certification (DP-203).
- Databricks Data Engineer Associate or Professional certification.
- Experience designing and delivering end-to-end cloud data solutions.
- Solid scripting, programming, and data-modelling capabilities.
- Experience implementing DevOps/DataOps practices within data engineering environments.
