Labour Welfare Officer –
Job Title: Labour Welfare Officer
Department: Human Resources / Industrial Relations
Reports To: HR Manager / Plant Head / Factory Manager
Job Summary The Labour Welfare Officer ensures compliance with labor laws, develops and implements employee welfare programs, resolves workplace grievances, and fosters positive relationships between management and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, factory regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Plan, implement, and monitor employee welfare initiatives such as health camps, transportation, housing, canteen, recreation, and educational programs.
- Address employee grievances and facilitate effective conflict resolution.
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations and coordinate with trade unions where applicable.
- Conduct employee counseling and provide guidance on workplace issues.
- Organize safety, health, and welfare awareness programs.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and documentation required under labor legislation.
- Liaise with government labor departments, inspectors, and other regulatory authorities.
- Support disciplinary procedures and domestic inquiries in accordance with company policies.
- Assist in employee engagement activities, cultural events, and CSR initiatives.
- Coordinate welfare committee meetings and implement action plans.
- Prepare periodic reports on welfare activities, compliance status, and employee relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Master's Degree/Diploma in Social Work (MSW), Human Resource Management, Labour Welfare, Industrial Relations, or Personnel Management.
- Certification as a Welfare Officer,
where required by applicable state laws.
Experience
- 2–8 years of experience in labor welfare, industrial relations, or HR in manufacturing, factories, construction, or other industrial sectors.
- Experience handling statutory compliance and employee relations is preferred.

This can be customized for industries such as manufacturing, automotive, textiles, construction, or IT/ITES based on specific organizational requirements. Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
