Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable software services that enhance the experience of credit card consumers. You will work within a self-organized engineering team, contribute to key architectural and technical decisions, and help drive engineering excellence through modern development practices.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality software services and APIs.
Deliver significant components, features, or services with high reliability and performance.
Collaborate with Product Management and engineering leadership to achieve business and technical goals.
Drive technical innovation within the team and contribute to broader engineering initiatives.
Promote engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, and continuous improvement.
Partner effectively with cross-functional engineering teams to maximize code reuse and inner-sourcing opportunities.
Mentor team members and contribute to a strong engineering culture.

Technical Skills





Must-Have Skills & Experience

Strong proficiency in Java or other modern object-oriented programming languages.
Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and SOLID principles.
Hands-on experience designing and building RESTful APIs and distributed services.
Solid knowledge of HTTP, web services, and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
Experience developing and operating high-scale, production-grade applications.
Solid understanding of software design patterns, performance optimization, and scalability.

Engineering Practices

Proven track record of delivering high-quality software in complex environments.
Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and code quality practices.
Strong advocate for engineering excellence, including code reviews and automated testing.
Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and solve complex technical problems.
