About The Role The Associate Architect - Java at Quantiphi is a pivotal role designed for experienced professionals who possess a deep understanding of enterprise Java applications and modern software development practices. This position involves collaborating directly with clients to understand their technical requirements, providing consultation, and ensuring successful project implementation from initiation to closure. The role demands a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to support the design, development, and modernization of enterprise Java applications.
The Associate
Architect will be responsible for overseeing technical activities, mentoring team members, and ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and deployment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, utilize cloud technologies, and contribute to the digital transformation journeys of diverse organizations.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Java application development and architecture. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or a related field is required; a master’s degree or higher is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in Java (Java 17/21/25 preferred), Spring Boot, J2EE, and enterprise web application development.
Experience with API integration, cloud architecture, and application security is essential. Familiarity with tools like Git, Maven, JFrog, and automated code modernization tools such as AWS Transform Custom (ATX) is highly desirable. Candidates must have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, testing methodologies, and agile development practices.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS services, and microservices architecture is crucial. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are key attributes for success.
Responsibilities The Associate Architect will undertake a variety of technical and leadership responsibilities to ensure the successful delivery of enterprise Java applications.
Key duties include engaging with clients to gather project requirements, providing technical consultation, and supporting the installation and project close-out reviews. The role involves supporting the design, development, enhancement, and modernization of existing applications, ensuring alignment with current industry standards and best practices. The candidate will support customer demands by managing expectations, negotiating project specifications, and creating comprehensive technical documentation.
Supervising activities between internal teams and external vendors to facilitate seamless workflow and service delivery is essential. The role also involves evaluating project data for accuracy, setting project priorities,
and mentoring team members to enhance their technical capabilities. Staying updated with emerging trends and innovations in the field, especially related to cloud computing and application modernization, is vital.
Additionally, the Associate Architect will review customer technical demands, assist in identifying optimal methods for maintenance and deployment, and ensure APIs are robust, scalable, and maintainable. Conducting research to leverage new technologies, troubleshooting issues across environments, and ensuring adherence to best coding and architectural practices are ongoing responsibilities.
