What you’ll do:
The primary purpose of this role will be to provide product engineering services to support the day-to-day operations of the assigned facility. This role will be the technical design leader responsible for oversight of our extensive conveyance product line and will work with a cross-functional team to support smooth operation of our manufacturing process at the assigned facility. Key tasks include problem-solving of systemic issues, identification of product improvements and implementation of corrective actions, review and disposition of discrepant material, and customer requirement’s compliance review.
• Provide product knowledge and expertise to the assigned plant as well as being a bridge between the assigned plant and the sending sites/design authorities through product expertise (including Eaton and industry standards) and in-depth knowledge of local capabilities.
• Support quick response to customer needs through providing engineering review of customer requests, working with other functions to determine failure root cause of returned material,



producing failure analysis reports, and other activities as needed.
• Work in team setting to meet plant driven metrics for quality, safety, delivery, performance, and inventory through completion of product engineering actions including drawing error resolution, AEV reduction/elimination, DMR closure, SRR creation/review, ensuring adherence to ACES documents, and SMRR processing.
• Update engineering documentation as needed including facilitation of CR’s and CO’s.
• Lead problem solving activities and projects involving design and configuration of existing product. These may be initiated out of the continuous improvement teams, customer returns, supply chain issues, etc. Project scope may include redesign, change management, qualification test plan development and execution.
