The Role

We are looking for an experienced Process Shift Incharge to oversee and manage shift operations in our grain-based distillery (ENA production). The role involves ensuring smooth operation across liquefaction, fermentation, distillation, evaporation, and utilities, while maintaining production targets, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control end-to-end plant operations during the shift
Ensure smooth functioning of Milling, Liquefaction, Fermentation, Distillation, Evaporation & Dryer
Achieve production targets and yield optimization (L/MT)‍
Monitor key parameters like:
Temperature, pressure, flow rates
Alcohol %, RS, pH
Handle process deviations and troubleshooting in real-time
Coordinate with utility, boiler, and power plant teams‍




Ensure proper shift log entries and reporting‍
Maintain safety, housekeeping, and SOP compliance‍
Lead and supervise shift operators and technicians
Qualifications

Must have

5–10 years in distillery / ethanol / ENA plant operations
Experience in grain-based distillery preferred
Hands-on exposure to continuous fermentation & multi-column distillation

Qualities

Strong understanding of process parameters and controls
Experience in troubleshooting fermentation & distillation issues
Familiarity with DCS / SCADA systems
Valuable leadership and shift management skills
Data-driven decision making
Ability to work in rotational shifts
